About Drew Moser
Drew Moser grew up in Kokomo Indiana and studied NMAT (New Media Art and
Technology) at Indiana University Kokomo for one year before transferring to Herron School of
Art and Design in Indianapolis. Initially working towards a degree in Drawing and Illustration,
Drew switched to a Printmaking focus after one year. He primarily works in stone lithography
and silkscreen, but also has work in many other print mediums like etching, woodcut, linocut,
and collagraph.
Drew has worked as a historical restorationist at Russell Design, working on everything
from pipe organs to historic home interiors. He has also worked as a designer for monument
engravings at Caldwell Monuments and is currently working as a printing assistant for artist Walter
Knabe. Moser has participated in multiple shows and in many local art markets. He has also
volunteered at Herron School of Art and assisted in workshops there.
Much of Moser’s work is influenced by German artists from the early 1900’s, such as
Otto Dix, George Grosz, Karl Schmidt-Rottluff, and many others from the German
Expressionist, German Dadas, and Neue Sachlichkeit movements. Moser’s work primarily
focuses on topics like war, religion, history, and masculinity and how they interact with each
other.
